On Thursday, January 15, 2026, Bustamante High School marked a significant milestone with the official launch of its newly restored computer laboratories under the theme “Renewing Hope, Reconnecting Learning.”
Through the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Education, Youth, Skills and Information (MOESYI), e-Learning Jamaica Company Limited, the Universal Service Fund and the Flow Foundation, the school’s computer laboratories were fully rebuilt and re-equipped at an approximate cost of JMD $20 million. This restoration follows a devastating fire in September 2024 that destroyed the original facilities.
This initiative stands as a powerful testament to what can be achieved through collaboration and shared vision, restoring not only vital infrastructure but also opportunity, innovation and hope for the future of learning at Bustamante High School and beyond.
