The government of Jamaica has launched a project to provide high speed internet to all high schools, libraries and post offices across the island. This project is being managed by the Universal Service Fund (U.S.F.) previously Universal Access Fund (U.A.F.). The project will be implemented by Lime and Flow working together to create a single wide area network to facilitate communication between all the sites.

The strategy thus far is to turn up (connect) the sites that are closest to existing infrastructure followed by sites that require some work to be done to make the connection then to sites which need significant amounts of work to be done after.

The network will be managed jointly by Lime and Flow where each will manage their portion of the network.  There will be some level of filtering done on the network.  Each site will be monitored for connectivity and for any threats a specific site may pose to the network.

To report issues/faults at schools under the Broadband Access Project with Lime as the service provider, please follow the steps outlined below:-

• Check The Circuit Listing above for your school's MET number
• Contact the S.O.C. tier 1 support at 968-9850
• Choose option 1
• Choose option 1
• Speak to the representative and report the fault
• or you can send them a email at jam-soc@lime.com indicating your problem

If the issue has been reported and a favourable response is not received after a reasonable time, please feel free to escalate the issue to the Universal Service Fund (USF) at 926-1727.

FLOW

To report issues/faults at schools under the Broadband Access Project with Flow as the service provider, please follow the steps outlined below:-

• Call their NOC at 620-3399 OR
• email their NOC at noc@flowjamaica.com

If the issue has been reported and a favourable response is not received after a reasonable time, please feel free to escalate the issue to the Universal Service Fund (USF) at 926-1727.
