12 Year-Old Jamaican Creates History By Passing CSEC Exam

Twyla-Haye Bent is just 12 years old but that didn’t prevent her from sitting the CSEC English Exam.

She created history by being one of the youngest person to pass the CSEC exams.  Bent is enrolled at Denbigh Primary School, which is located in the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica.

Bent whose father is an English teacher, started to attend her dad’s English classes when she was in Grade 3. Those classes provided her with a strong foundation for the English language exams and then her eventual success at the CSEC exams. Now she holds a Grade 2 in CSEC English.
