On Wednesday, March 19th, 2025, the official launch of the STEAM Education in Schools Programme was held at the AC Marriott Hotel in Kingston. The initiative originates from the collaborative effort of the Ministry of Education, Skills Youth and Information, e-Learning Jamaica Company Limited, the British Council and the National Education Trust.
The STEAM Education Initiative is a strategic programme designed to systematically integrate STEAM education ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) into the curriculum of over 800 primary and secondary schools across Jamaica over the next three years.
